Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later) running macOS 13 Ventura or later. Intel-based Macs are not supported.

    Open the downloaded file

    The Clarcut disk image (.dmg), in your Downloads folder.

    Drag Clarcut into Applications

    In the window that opens, drop the Clarcut icon onto the Applications folder.

    Open Clarcut and allow screen recording

    On first launch, macOS asks for permission to record the screen: turn on Clarcut in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording, then reopen it. The mic and camera are requested the first time you use them.

Clarcut is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without warnings. Updates are verified before they install, and your videos stay on your Mac.
