Terms of Sale and Use

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Clarcut application and the purchase of Clarcut Pro from Beva Studio, a sole proprietorship (SIRET 940 859 457 00019), which can be reached at contact@clarcut.com. Creating an account or placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms.

These terms are available in French and English. Both versions have the same value; in case of discrepancy, the interpretation most favorable to the consumer applies.

2. Free version

Clarcut can be used for free, without an account and with no time limit. The free version exports in 1080p at 30 frames per second with a watermark, without the features reserved for Clarcut Pro.

3. Clarcut Pro

• Clarcut Pro is a lifetime, personal and non-transferable license to use the software, linked to your Clarcut account.
• It unlocks watermark-free exports up to 4K at 60 frames per second, automatic subtitles and automatic audio alignment.
• It can be active on 3 computers at the same time. A computer can be unlinked from the account once per 90-day period.
• An internet connection is required to activate a computer; after that, Clarcut Pro works for up to 30 days offline before requesting a new verification.

4. Price and payment

Clarcut Pro costs 39 € or $44, depending on the currency shown at checkout (the site language determines the currency: euros for the French version, US dollars for the English version), paid only once. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI). Payment is made by card through Stripe; Beva Studio never has access to your card details. An invoice is available from your account.

5. Updates

The purchase includes one year of updates. After that, an optional subscription of 19 € or $21 per year (in the currency of your purchase) gives access to new versions. If taken out before the due date, it is only charged at the end of the included year. It can be canceled at any time from your account; it then ends at the end of the paid period.

Without active updates, Clarcut Pro keeps working on the versions released during your update period. A version released after that period runs in free mode until updates are renewed.

6. Delivery

Clarcut Pro is activated as soon as payment is confirmed: just sign in to the application with the account associated with the purchase.

7. Withdrawal and refunds

You have 14 days after purchase to get a full refund, with no need to give a reason, even if Clarcut Pro has already been activated. Just request it within 14 days by email to contact@clarcut.com. The refund terminates the license and the update subscription; Clarcut reverts to the free version.

8. Use

You remain solely responsible for the content you record and distribute with Clarcut. It is prohibited to circumvent the application's protections, to share an account beyond the authorized devices or to resell a license. Fraudulent use may result in the suspension of the license.

9. Warranty and liability

Clarcut is provided with care, but without any guarantee that it is entirely free of errors. Beva Studio cannot be held liable for any loss of data or indirect damage. Remember to keep a copy of your important videos. Beva Studio's liability is limited to the amount paid for Clarcut Pro.

10. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer residing in another country of the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country. If any issue arises, please write to us first at contact@clarcut.com: we always look for an amicable solution.

12. Consumer mediation

In the event of an unresolved dispute, the consumer may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator MÉDIATION CONSOMMATION DÉVELOPPEMENT (MED CONSO DEV), via its website www.medconsodev.eu or by mail at the address given in the legal notice, within one year of their written complaint.
